Well-known engineering industry magazine and exhibition expert Luke Webster is to assume a new position as Managing Director at The Engineering Network Ltd. The Engineering Network Ltd is jointly owned by Luke and his colleague Mark Newby, and the company recently acquired the highly respected, industry-leading MachineBuilding.net website - the only platform serving the specific needs of Machine Builders. Since the title was purchased, Google Analytics has reported consecutive records for the number of individual monthly site visits to MachineBuilding.net across June, July, and August.
When at Mark Allen Group, where he was also a Board member, Luke was Deputy Managing Director of the MA Business division and Publishing Director of a portfolio of industry-leading magazines including The Engineer, Machinery, Eureka!, New Electronics, FAST, Manufacturing Management and many more. He was also involved in the launch and subsequent success of the acclaimed Engineering Design Show, now in its 7th successful and sold-out year. Between them, Luke and Mark have spent more than 60 years at the helm of some of the best known and most widely respected engineering design and manufacturing titles. Commenting on the launch of his new business, Luke says "MachineBuilding.net is unique and enjoys a first-class reputation for excellence which we intend to build on. Users and advertisers alike can look forward to a supercharger being added to an already winning vehicle, with a new-look website together with the introduction of an updated real-time reporting system for advertisers coming soon".
MachineBuilding.net Publisher and Editor Mark Newby observed "Luke and I have known each other for a very long time and have worked together on a variety of leading engineering magazines, websites and exhibitions with great success. MachineBuilding.net was a great product under its previous ownership, and between us, Luke and I look forward to taking it to an even higher level".
