Machine-guarding switches with CAT 4, SIL 3 PLe safety
Tapeswitch Corporation is releasing a complete line of HE Series non-contact safety interlock switches and multigate SCU-1 control unit monitoring system for machine guarding, where monitoring for a guard is required and locking is not required, such as in several types of machinery including but not limited to packaging, paper, food and beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, canning, mail, steel, motor, weighing, semiconductor, plastic, aluminium machinery and industries.
The new line features the HE Series Interlock switches, which are coded magnetic non-contact switches. They feature fully encapsulated solid-state, single-point switching with built-in, dual colour LED status indication. The switches offer a CAT 4, SIL 3 PLe safety performance level. It has 2 N/O and 1 N/C bi-directional solid state outputs. The solid state outputs offer simple series connection. They offer a 7mm switching distance and can approach on each other from most angles.
The HE Series is IP67 rated. When combined with the SCU-1 control unit, it is a multi-gate switch capable of monitoring up to 30 switches in the series. Included in the HE series are offerings HE1 and HE2 switches, the HED double switch that reduces the amount of wiring for multiple gates and reduces the brackets needed for mounting the switches and the SCU-1 control unit.
