Machine Safety in 316 Stainless Steel

With Mechan's 316 Stainless Steel safety range of products there is a wide array of safety products to suit all means that a manufacturing plant will desire. With machinery hitting it or engineers banging gates shut, having a robust range of safety products is key for longevity and money saving.

Mechan Controls is not only known for its non-contact safety products; it has been developing a wide range of mechanical safety products in 316 stainless steel, such as a trapped key system, safety rope pull switches, hinge door switches and tongue interlock switches.

All of Mechan Controls' safety products fulfil the requirement of CAT4 SIL3 Ple of the international safety standards to give a machine the highest safety rating possible. The non-contact range consists of magnetic, coded magnetic, RFID, 4 billion code RFID, OSSD and hygienic safety switches.

The mechanical range consists of a trapped key system of Isolators, Door Locks, Bolt Locks, key boxes and modular key boxes. There are also rope pull switches with duel tension screens, optional E/stops and its very own tensioning kits.

Mechan Controls also offers a tongue interlock switch with four actuator entry points, force guided contacts and optional actuator guidance cover to help with misalignment. Finally, there is a rotary hinge switch with an 11 or 5 degree rotation to ensure a trouble-free operational life and two shaft lengths of 30mm and 85mm.
