MachineBuilding.Live is new event for machine builders

Meeting the needs of the machine building community in an innovative format, MachineBuilding.Live has been announced as a new engineering event, taking place on 4 October 2023.

The event is open between 08:30 and 14:30 and takes place at the acclaimed National Motorcycle Museum (adjacent to the NEC). It will showcase an outstanding array of suppliers providing solutions for machine builders, systems integrators and OEMs that are seeking to automate or have machines built for their manufacturing processes.

The organisers describe the event as compact, with all stands being the same size shell scheme to provide a place that makes it easy, quick and rewarding for visitors who need maximum answers in the minimum of time.

“The National Motorcycle Museum is a superb venue for this type of event,” says TEN managing director Luke Webster. “It offers easy access, abundant free parking right outside the event door and the collection of motorcycles is simply outstanding.”

TEN publisher Mark Newby adds: “With more than 30 key exhibitors signed up before this unique event was officially launched, we know that visitors can look forward to an interesting and rewarding day.”

A comprehensive speaker programme has already been agreed for MachineBuilding.Live with a number of industry leaders already committed to delivering Workshop sessions. They include Pilz Automation, Ixon, Igus and Omron. Attendance at both the event itself and the workshops is free of charge and by pre-registration in advance only. Visitors will also benefit from free entry to the acclaimed National Motorcycle Museum on the day, a saving of £15. Further, visitors arriving prior to 11:00 can also grab a free breakfast roll and brew courtesy of the organisers.

The organisers say that the unique format of MachineBuilding.Live delivers significant benefits to exhibitors by providing a level playing field whilst keeping a lid on logistics, resources and costs. The event will be supported by a raft of carefully selected industrial magazine and website platforms in addition to TEN’s own MachineBuilding.net and Industrial Technology magazine.

TEN was established in 2020, when founders Luke Webster and Mark Newby acquired the respected online platform MachineBuilding.net. Webster and Newby are experienced specialists in magazine publishing and event organisation in the engineering sector. In the two years since the formation of TEN, MachineBuilding.net sales have almost doubled and usage has increased by 56%.

In September 2021 TEN acquired the well-known and popular engineering design magazine Industrial Technology, edited by one of the industry’s best known and most widely respected journalists, Mark Simms. Mark also edits MachineBuilding.net as well as TEN’s other successful specialist platform, launched in 2021, FasteningandBonding.net.
