TV SD Product Service, formerly Laidler Associates, has announced the 2013 dates for its UK Functional Safety Certification Programme (FSCP) for machinery.
TV SD first developed a Functional Safety Certification Programme (formerly Certified Functional Safety Expert, CFSE) in 1999. Since then, over 1000 professionals in the field of functional safety have been certified by TV SD. While the original certification program was meant for professionals in the process industry, functional safety is now such a widespread subject and applied in so many different industries that an expansion of the programme has been undertaken. The revised program is called the Functional Safety Certification Programme (FSCP). As one of the global leaders in testing and certification of products and personnel, TV SD is well placed to certify the competence of personnel through audited schemes.
Since EN 954-1 was superseded/withdrawn at the end of 2011, functional safety has become ever more important in the field of machinery safety so TV SD Product Service (formerly Laidler Associates) is launching a new Certified Functional Safety for machinery course within the UK.
This new course lasts for four days, with three days of teaching and one day of examinations. Topics covered include:
