Machinery safety seminars - new dates and venues announced

The Machinery Safety Alliance has announced new dates and venues for its 2014 series of Machinery Safety Seminars. These are as follows:

  • 14 May - Magna Science Adventure Centre, a former steel production site near Rotherham
  • 3 September - Imperial War Museum North, on the Quays in Manchester
  • 21 October - Haynes International Motor Museum, near Yeovil

Topics covered by the seminars include:

  • An introduction from Steve Shaw, HSE
  • Legislation and machine safety lifecycle - David Collier, Pilz
  • Perimeter guarding - Geoff McBride, Troax
  • Changes to interlocking standards - Phill Carroll, Fortress Interlocks
  • Pneumatics and motion - Bob Jackson, Festo
  • Safety-related application software - David Collier, Pilz
  • Visual and audible warning - Pete Osborn, Werma
  • Functional safety - David Collier, Pilz

There will also be a question-and-answer session and ample opportunity to network with the presenters and other attendees, and time to visit the exhibitions.
