Mark Brady is new Operations Director at RMB Engineering

Continuity of customer service is the key theme at RMB Engineering, with longstanding MD Ray Brady stepping down in favour of his son Mark Brady, who takes up the new appointment of Operations Director at RMB Engineering, a Division of Deritend Industries. During his time as MD of RMB, Ray Brady built the company into one the UK's leading industrial gearbox supply and repair organisations, his success culminating in the recent integration of RMB into the multi-discipline maintenance services group Deritend Industries, where it has more opportunities for future expansion.

Having secured a bright future for RMB, Ray Brady is taking a position on the Board of Directors within Deritend Industries. He leaves the company - in excellent health and with a full order book - in the capable hands of Mark Brady, who has learned the business from the 'grass roots' and has many years' experience of consistently meeting the 24/7 supply and repair requirements of some of the most demanding industries in the UK: quarrying, mining, power generation, water and steel, to name but a few.

Mark Brady comments: "It is a really exciting time to be taking over. My task will be to drive operational improvements at all levels within the business to ensure that we maintain the lead we have over our competitors. Many companies advertise themselves as providing 24/7 service, but few actually provide it. RMB is the exception; this is evidenced by the growth in our business generally, especially in the continuous process production sectors, 24-hour manufacturing and power generation industries, where time lost to gearbox failures can result in losses totalling many thousands of pounds, or in some cases, even hundreds of thousands."

Commenting upon the changes at RMB, Richard K Hale, CEO of Deritend Industries, offers a vote of thanks to Ray Brady for his efforts as Managing Director since the acquisition of RMB by Deritend in May 2007: "It will no doubt be a day of mixed emotions for Ray as he ceases his involvement in a business that he started from a garage 26 years ago, and through his tireless efforts became a multi-million pound enterprise. However, I am sure any sadness he feels in leaving the business is matched by his justified pride in Mark's appointment.

"Whilst Ray will no longer be directly involved in RMB, I am delighted to announce that he has accepted my invitation to join the Deritend Industries Board of Directors in a non-executive capacity, to advise and assist the directors in developing the mechanical and distribution aspects of the business. His unparalleled experience and intimate knowledge of this industry will be a huge asset to us over the coming months, as we maintain our drive to grow the business of Deritend Industries further."
