Mechan Controls launches painted steel grabwire safety device
In 2023, Mechan Controls first launched the SL4 grabwire safety device, since which time it has seen record interest in this product and been overwhelmed by the feed back. Mechan Controls is not a company that sits still and watch its achievements pass by, constantly innovating its machine safety product ranges and developing new products to be at the forefront of technological advantages.
This is why at the start of 2025, Mechan Controls launched the painted steel version of the SL4. The SL4 mazak version is not only lighter in weight than its stainless steel partner but also keeps the same qualities that make the SL4 great: dual tension screens; with or without E|Stop; robust; up to 75 metres rope span; simple blue reset switch; cable entry point from 3 sides; and ease of mounting.
All the above aspects have been carefully incorporated into the SL4 stainless steel and mazak versions, allowing Mechan Controls' customers to fit and forget. The mazak SL4 can come with an E|Stop button or without to eliminate nuisance tripping.
With the unique tensioning system, it is very simple for any engineer to install a rope span of 5 to 75 metres. Mechan's tensioning kits include all the necessary components for installation. Additionally, corner brackets are available, enabling the rope to move freely around 90-degree corners.
Mechan Controls will be exhibiting at the Automate show in Detroit from 12-15 May.
