Micromini hybrid stepper motors launched by Astrosyn

There are two models in the size 8 range, which can be configured for unipolar or bipolar drives. The smallest of the size 8 models has a body length of only 30mm, while delivering a holding torque of 1.7Ncm. The larger model provides a 3.2Ncm holding torque but is still only 47mm long.

Simon Hunt, Astrosyn's technical sales director, says: "The compact size and high power of these units makes them ideal for applications such as modelling, gaming equipment, robotics, laboratory sampling, and medical instrumentation. They are also suitable for controlling CCTV cameras in security applications."

All the models offer high accuracy with a step angle of 1.8 deg.
