Mobil DTE 10 Excel hydraulic oils improve efficiency

Introduced more than 30 years ago, the Mobil DTE line of high-performance hydraulic oils has been used in nearly every type of commercial and industrial application and has more than 200 endorsements from leading original equipment manufacturers.

Formulated with extensive laboratory and in-service field testing, the Mobil DTE 10 Excel series can help provide quantifiable increases in hydraulic efficiency compared to the company's standard hydraulic oils. This can result in reduced power consumption or increased machine output, leading directly to monetary savings.

Six per cent improvement

In controlled laboratory efficiency testing, Mobil DTE 10 Excel was measured to provide up to a six per cent improvement in hydraulic pump efficiency compared to Mobil DTE 20 when operating in standard hydraulic applications.

In additional laboratory and in-service field demonstrations conducted on a wide range of modern hydraulic systems, the Mobil DTE 10 Excel series demonstrated, compared to ExxonMobil's standard hydraulic fluids, exceptional oil life, outlasting these fluids by up to three times, while maintaining outstanding hydraulic system cleanliness and component protection. Mobil DTE 10 Excel also demonstrated the value of its high viscosity index and outstanding shear stability by operating successfully in temperatures as low as -34degC and by maintaining ISO VG class.

Mobil DTE 10 Excel has also been tested in standard vane pumps under controlled conditions directly against competitive products. At the end of the 30-minute test, Mobil DTE 10 Excel resulted in less system heat generation and the system temperatures were measured to be six to seven degrees C less than certain competitive products run under identical conditions.

Designed to handle the lubrication requirements of both industrial and mobile high-pressure hydraulic systems, the Mobil DTE 10 Excel series is the recommended lubricant choice for numerous industrial and off-highway sectors, including construction, energy/power, mining, general manufacturing, machine shops, plastics and pulp/paper. The Mobil DTE 10 Excel series exceeds major industry specifications, including Denison HF-O, Eaton M2950, CM P69 and P70, ISO 11158 HV, DIN 51524 Part 3 and JCMAS HK-1, depending on the viscosity grade.
