Mobil unveils new energy-efficiency logo

The new energy-efficiency symbol will help customers identify and select these Mobil Industrial Lubricants to support their efforts to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy costs versus ExxonMobil's standard hydraulic lubricants in given applications. Energy efficiency relates solely to the fluid performance when compared to ExxonMobil's standard hydraulic fluids. The technology used allows up to six per cent increase in hydraulic pump efficiency compared to Mobil DTE 20 series when tested in standard hydraulic applications. The energy efficiency claim for this product is based on test results on the use of the fluid conducted in accordance with all applicable industry standards and protocols.

Ian Davidson, ExxonMobil's Global Industrial Lubricants Marketing Manager, states: "As the global marketplace becomes increasingly competitive, customers in every market sector are striving hard to increase their competitiveness. The new logo will appear first on Mobil DTE 10 Excel, a new category of hydraulic oils that provides outstanding performance benefits but also has energy-efficiency credentials. Mobil DTE 10 Excel series not only exceeds current standards of hydraulic oil performance but can also help to deliver energy savings versus ExxonMobil's conventional hydraulic oils, leading to improved machinery performance with increased productivity and cost savings.
