The simplicity of the paddlewheel design means that the 8032 can be mounted vertically or horizontally, to simplify piping and installation generally. Moreover, the choice of materials for wetted parts of the flowmeter, including brass, stainless steel, PVC, PP or PVDF / FKM (EPDM option), and PVDF /ceramics for the paddlewheel, allow the unit to be used with a wider range of fluids.

The Type 8032 has a wide measuring range from 0.3-10m/s with linearity of +/-0.5 per cent of full scale (10m/s) and repeatability at 0.4 per cent of reading. The unit can handle liquids -including clear, coloured, neutral and aggressive types - up to 300cSt. maximum, with negligible pressure drops.

With flexible outputs and a facility for remote operation, the Type 8032 offers multiple interconnection possibilities with complementary process control products from Burkert.
