Monitouch V8 Series operator interfaces are economically priced

The Monitouch V8 is suitable for cost-sensitive applications that still require the versatility of a high-end product with good functionality and guaranteed quality. P4A says the V8 series HMIs communicate with multiple devices - including PLCs, PCs, printers, card readers, cameras and sensors - as well as up to two factory automation (FA) networks. The V8 can support SCADA products displaying production data from an entire plant at-a-glance in clear real-time images. It also offers direct connection to Siemens S7 products using the PPI and MPI protocols, meaning there is no need for middleware connectors.

Options

The V8 range of monitors is available in screen sizes from 5.7 to 15inch; users have the choice of monochrome or full colour displays. A two-way reinforced USB interface makes it possible to connect to PC peripherals and enables PCs to write ladder programs to the HMIs, and to use PC-based management software to monitor performance. Various connectivity options are available, including additional USB sockets on the front of the display.

V8 series HMIs are equipped with a long-life (up to 50,000 hours), environmentally-friendly LED backlight that does not require replacement; furthermore, it achieves a 40 per cent saving in power consumption compared to conventional products. The high-resolution display offers 65,536 colours at maximum resolution, allowing clear display of interlaced movie files and live footage, as well as JPG and BMP images.
