More frequency inverter communications options from Nord
Nord Drivesystems is expanding Ethernet communications options for its range of frequency inverters as POWERLINK is made available for the centralised SK 500E and EtherNet/IP is added to the SK 500E as well as the decentralised motor-mounted SK 180E and SK 200E inverters. Offered as drive-integrated or separate modular Technology Units, these protocols join Profinet and EtherCAT communications options and other fieldbus systems including CANopen, Profibus and DeviceNET for complete flexibility in the choice of automation system design.
Nord Drivesystems frequency inverters are based on cost-effective and scalable equipment options that begin with basic entry-level drives from 0.75 to 90kW power output, with a comprehensive choice of expansion possibilities that add communication, position feedback, PLC programming, safety, I/O expansion and many other functions to exactly match the application requirements. In this way, simple sensorless speed control or complex multi-axis servo positioning systems with IEC 61131-3 functionality and SIL Safety can be realised with the same modular hardware, software, parameter structure, and commissioning requirements; for complete consistency.
