Mouser now shipping Cree's next generation of XLamp XPG LEDs
Mouser Electronics is now stocking the new XLamp XP-G3 LEDs from Cree. This third generation of the XLamp XPG platform incorporates elements of Cree's SC5 Technology Platform for high reliability at high operating temperatures. The LEDs deliver 31 per cent more lumens and 8 per cent higher lumens-per-watt than the previous generation. Optimised for directional, high-lumen applications, from indoor and outdoor to portable and lamp retrofits, the XP-G3 LEDs deliver the benefits of the XP-G platform - a compact, 3.45 × 3.45mm package and established ecosystem - enabling designers to simplify the design process and shorten time to market.
The Cree XLamp XP-G3 LEDs deliver over 205 lumens-per-watt at 350mA and up to 863 lm at 2A. The high-density LEDs are available in 3- and 5-step ANSI white colour temperatures from 3000K to 6000K, and offer standard Coloor Rendering Index (CRI) of 70 or 80. The LEDs offer a maximum driver current of 2000mA with low thermal resistance of 3degC per Watt, and offer a wide viewing angle of 125 degrees.
These new RoHS- and REACH"compliant XLamp XP-G3 LEDs are characterised and binned at 85degC and meet the higher efficacy and lumen maintenance requirements of DLC classification. Based on the LM-80 standard, XP-G3 LEDs provide beyond 50,000 hours of L90 light levels, even at an extreme 105degC, 1500mA test condition.
