Moxa earns EcoVadis Gold Medal, ranking among top 5% globally for sustainability performance

This recognition is a major milestone in Moxa's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) journey, and marks Moxa's advancement from a Silver Medal in 2025 to a Gold Medal this year.

The EcoVadis Gold Medal signifies notable improvements in environmental performance, labour and human rights, ethical business practices, and sustainable procurement. Moxa increased its overall EcoVadis score from 76 to 81 (out of 100) compared to its 2025 assessment, demonstrating progress in key sustainability areas and achieving the highest score for implementing supportive measures.

Compared to its 2025 assessment, one of the most significant improvements came in the Labour and Human Rights category, where Moxa's score rose from 74 to 82, ranking in the top 2% of its industry. Moxa introduced a global Human Rights Policy and launched its first human rights due diligence programme - completing its inaugural assessment at headquarters, enhancing its governance framework, and aligning with international human rights principles.

In 2025, Moxa reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 25% from its 2022 baseline and significantly lowered plastic packaging usage in product packaging materials from 72% in 2022 to 42% in 2025 by replacing them with paper-based alternatives.

For business ethics, Moxa conducted 75 Code of Conduct training workshops in 2025, with over 90% of employees completing the training for over 14,000 hours of ethics education in total. The company also enhanced its cyber security governance by achieving EN 18031 certification for compliance with European cyber security requirements and becoming the first in the industry to achieve IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 2 certification for its serial device servers, demonstrating its commitment to secure product development.

Responsible sourcing also remained a key focus. In 2025, Moxa introduced its Sustainable Procurement Policy and Supplier Code of Conduct, aligned with the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct. Supplier adoption reached a 70% signing rate, exceeding the 60% target. At the same time, the proportion of low-risk suppliers weighed in Moxa's supplier sustainability risk assessment increased from 64% to 85%, while the proportion of those weighed as high-risk fell significantly from 27% to 10%.

By embedding environmental responsibility, ethical governance, labour and human rights, and responsible supply chain management into its practices, Moxa enhances its ESG credentials, which are now a key competitive advantage for suppliers facing regulatory scrutiny. EcoVadis assessments support customers in evaluating suppliers' sustainability practices, helping them make transparent and informed procurement decisions.
