As part of global re-branding, Wyko Nigeria, which has a Service Centre on the Ikeja Industrial Estate in Lagos, has changed its name to Eriks Industrial Services Nigeria. The name change reflects the £139million acquisition of Wyko by Eriks nv in November 2006.

The Service Centre officially opened on 30 October 2007, an event that was attended by a number of key dignitaries. Alhaji Aliko Dangote, President and Chief Executive of the Dangote Group, commented at the time: “The fact that a well established trading partner from the United Kingdom has taken a bold decision in establishing a stocked Nigerian Distribution Centre in Lagos is most welcome and we all look forward to reaping the benefits of their local stock."

Eriks Industrial Services Nigeria offers a local stock of industrial consumable products, as well as the ability to draw immediately upon the Group’s vast stocks located throughout Europe. This, coupled with the engineering knowledge of its local staff, has already led to keen interest within major companies in the region in key industrial sectors, including oil and gas, cement, sugar, construction, pharmaceuticals and food and beverage.

A major benefit of the new Service Centre is the easy local access to leading global brands that are only available officially through Eriks Industrial Services Nigeria. These exclusive brands include Fenner, with its full range of Power Transmission products, SRB innovative split roller bearings, and RX, Eriks' own brand covering its core activities (sealing technology, flow technology, industrial plastics, tools and maintenance). Only by sourcing these brands through Eriks Industrial Services Nigeria can the warranties and guarantees associated with these world-class products be assured.
