Parker celebrates ten years at DewsburyRacor Filter Division Europe, part of Parker Hannifin Corporation, is celebrating its tenth anniversary at its Dewsbury site in 2009. For a decade, Parker has had its manufacturing site at Shaw Cross Business Park, continually developing its cutting-edge facilities and becoming a major employer in the area.

Among the developments that have occurred over the last 10 years is the installation of a dedicated Product Development Centre, which is one of Parker's expanding network of European test labs. It forms an integrated element of the entire manufacturing operation at Dewsbury, with dedicated technicians putting Racor products to the test.

David Smith, General Manager at the Racor Filtration Division Europe, comments: "Our manufacturing capabilities in Dewsbury have enabled us to bring new filtration technology to the customer, with proven results and assured quality, helping to reinforce our position as the global leader in motion and control technologies. I would like to thank our Dewsbury staff, past and present, who have all contributed to our success over the past 10 years. Here's to the next 10!"

Tony Tongue, Parker RFDE's longest-serving employee, says: "I have worked at Parker for 43 years and have seen many changes since my first role as an Engineering Apprentice. We have developed from a small engineering company employing 60 people to become a key automotive manufacturer of fuel filtration systems as Parker Hannifin's Racor Filter Division Europe, employing 220 people."
