See HepcoMotion at Midlands Design and Manufacturing 2011HepcoMotion will be on stand 1435 at Midlands Design and Manufacturing 2011, which takes place at the NEC, Birmingham, from 6-7 April 2011. One of the main attractions on the HepcoMotion stand will be the Precision Ring Track PRT2 (pictured right), which comprises ring slides, ring segments, bearings and ancillary components to suit many rotary and track system applications, and is now available in a much wider range of sizes.

The added benefit, across the range, is increased load capacities, typically by 50 per cent or more. PRT2 also extends customer choice by 45 per cent. This friction-free, debris-tolerant system adds several new options that allow innovative and highly reliable continuous motion systems to be engineered. These include a choice of ring slide types in various diameters in steel or stainless steel with hardened V edges for higher wear resistance.

Having specialised in linear motion technology for more than 40 years, HepcoMotion has accumulated a wealth of application know-how. It is a vital resource in the design of single to multi-axis systems – typically x,y,z configurations – and sub-assemblies. Typically these systems are based on the HepcoMotion MCS aluminium framework system onto which can be mounted linear motion products. With the benefit of its large production facility in the UK, the company is able to manufacture any special brackets or mounting elements that may be required.

HepcoMotion also has many standard designs to suit a variety of applications, from fully automated pick-and-place systems to manual assembly cells. Common products used are its GV3 linear motion system and HD heavy-duty. For customers requiring standalone units, belt-, screw- or pneumatically-operated, the HepcoMotion driven range covers all applications from low- to high-load and from slow to fast.

As part of the HepcoMotion 'one-stop shop' philosophy, complete actuator motion control packages can be supplied via its partnership with SmartDrive, a leading UK supplier of drives and controls.
