TRUMPF works with manufacturers to identify the most cost-efficient process, or combination of processes, to achieve quality sheet metal parts at the lowest unit cost. TRUMPF offers a wide range of laser source options so the optimal approach can be provided for each application, whether it be joining, cutting, surface treatment or micro-processing.
Centre stage on the 90m2 stand will be the TruPunch 1000, an entry-level punching machine that is very easy to operate. Despite its small footprint it can process a complete medium-format sheet with one single clamping operation and without repositioning. So, not only is it suitable for first-time users, but also a good supplementary machine that allows low-volume orders and batch sizes to be quickly and flexibly processed.
A significant contributor to this flexibility is the wide choice of tools that can be fitted to the TruPunch 1000. These include TRUMPF MultiTools that can be rotated through 360 degrees. This capability minimises the number of tools needed and maximises productivity.
Another TRUMPF strength is laser marking. It has also made the process fast, economical and reliable, qualities that will be demonstrated on the stand by a model in the TruMark series.
Developments in TRUMPF mechanical sheet metalworking provide another important choice for manufacturers. Visitors will be able to see the company’s latest punching and profiling technology and also a brand new addition to its TruBend Series 3000 press brakes. This range is characterised by its space-saving design. Automatic crowning ensures consistent angles and the machines’ high axis speeds make them the fastest in their class.
The latest model in the series is the TruBend 3066 with press force of 660kN and 2m bending length. A two-axis back gauge is standard but this can be optionally expanded to a four- or five-axis system, making it possible to position complex part geometries securely.
Thanks to its modest investment costs, the TruBend 3066 is well suited to those new to manual bending. The operating concept is simple and intuitive and the operator can sketch components and program them graphically at the machine’s large display with modern multi-touch control.
No TRUMPF stand would be complete without the software and tooling developments that ensure manufacturers get the best return on their machine investment.
