Nano-miniature connectors save space and weight
ITT Electronic Components is launching a range of nano-miniature connectors that are said to take the proven twist-pin micro-miniature contact technology one stage further, with the reduced contact pitch of 0.635mm providing significant space and weight saving when compared to conventional micro-miniature connectors.
Factory-installed high-reliability electrical contact termination with insulated wire/pigtails gives secure connection even in severe shock and vibration environments such as avionics, missile and medical applications. From a single-row plastic through to a 266-way circular connector, ITT's new nano-miniature connectors feature a wide range of contact counts and layout configurations, plus many termination and plan form options to meet specific customer needs. An EMC variant, the NDM, is also available with metal shell, 3.81mm seated height and 9-37 contacts in single-row layout.
The ITT Nano range has 1A contact rating, is rated for 500 mating cycles and offers high-reliability electrical contact in a space- and weight-saving design. Full technical details can be viewed on-line at www.ittcannon.com.
