New aluminium profiles suit clean room applications

MayTec, through its UK sales channel Applied Automation, is offering an extended range of framework profiles, with components providing new opportunities in markets where high sterility standards are required.

The MayTec Clean Room System now has additional plain profiles that are complemented by new installation accessories including 'radius covers' and 'domed cover plugs', both of which help to eliminate dirt traps when constructing frames. This new offering is based around the standard connection system, enabling fast and simple assembly while guaranteeing the highest stability.

Aluminium profiles can be used to construct am extensive variety of frames; however, Nigel Williams, the MayTec Product Manager at Applied Automation, says: "Our market focus is towards applications in the pharmaceutical industry and also the optical industry, medical technology and food industry." Key advantages aluminium structures have over welded and traditionally built structures are that they do not require any painting or finishing, they are very clean, and they are aesthetically pleasing.

It is feasible that almost any structure could be assembled using the MayTec Clean Room System and the entry into these new markets is an exciting and interesting opportunity for Applied Automation.
