Parker Hannifin has appointed Martin Eldridge as its new UK and Ireland sales company general manager. This announcement comes as the company positions itself for continued growth and deployment of its refreshed business strategy in 2016.
Previously general manager for Parker's European mobile controls operations headquartered in Sweden, Martin will lead all UK and Ireland commercial operations. He succeeds Nigel Judd, who retired in September.
A Parker employee for 23 years, Martin originally joined the company as a graduate engineering trainee in Parker's UK filter division. He progressed quickly through various engineering and operations management roles, into business leadership positions with profit and loss responsibility across four countries.
Martin comes with a strong international leadership track record of business transformation. His background includes developing teams who have achieved business turn-arounds and breakthrough financial performance.
Martin holds a first-class honours degree in mechanical engineering and is a chartered member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. For more information, visit www.parker.com/uk.
