New Axioline Smart Elements for potential routing

The portfolio of Axioline Smart Elements digital output modules from Phoenix Contact has been extended to include three Smart Elements for potential routing directly at the I/O station.

These Smart Elements provide the 24 V I/O supply voltage UP and the corresponding ground (GND), which is fed in at the side of an Axioline F backplane. They thus enable the connection of sensors in two- or three-conductor connection technology, whose signal lines are connected to digital input Smart Elements in single-conductor connection technology.

Furthermore, it is possible to connect actuators in two-conductor connection technology, whose signal lines are connected to digital output Smart Elements in single-conductor connection technology. In the event of a short circuit or overcurrent, an internal electronic fuse protects the connected I/O devices. The status of the fuse is indicated via a corresponding status LED.

Another version provides both the 24 V I/O supply voltage UP and the corresponding ground (GND). If a maximum of eight digital inputs in three-conductor connection technology are required, this can save a Smart Element slot on the Axioline F backplane.
