New book: Profinet in Practice
A new book by Dr Xiu Ji is titled Profinet in Practice: Installation, Maintenance, Design and System Engineering. Dr Xiu Ji is based at the Profibus & Profinet International Training Centre (PITC) at Manchester Metropolitan University. The book is intended to help answer the need for guidelines on optimising the design of Profinet networks, for good engineering practice in installation, troubleshooting and maintenance.
Dr Ji says:"The aim is to bring about improved and standardised engineering practice in applications of Profinet through sharing a greater understanding of the technology basics, the components, the engineering tools and exploring examples of Profinet systems."
The book covers Profinet theory and engineering practice and provides comprehensive preparatory reading for the internationally recognised Certified Profinet Installer and Engineer course and the MSc Industrial Communication Systems courses presented at Manchester Metropolitan University for a number of years.
