New Brushless DC motor from Portescap
Motor with integrated driver is new addition to Ultra EC range
Portescap has introduced a new addition to its Ultra EC™ mini brushless DC motor offering - the 16 ECP brushless motor with a new integrated driver. The new 16mm diameter motor versions are available in 2 lengths , 36mm and 52mm, and are stated to deliver almost 50 percent more continuous torque thatn over similar comparative motors.
The integration of the driver inside the motor reduces many of the complexities associated with the operation of the motor, cuts down the Installation time, lowers the overall application footprint, minimizes the clutter of wirings and offers cost optimization benefits says the company.
Typical applications cited by Portsecap include respiratory and ventilation devices, miniature pumps, medical hand tools and more where minimal speed drop and low motor heating under load together withh low inertia makes them a viable option. Portescap can also provide customisation including gearboxes, encoders, coil variations and mechanical interface modifications.
