The Supervisory Board of Lenze SE, based in Hamelin, has appointed Dipl.-Ing. Christian Wendler to be the new Chief Executive Officer as of 1 January 2014. Born in Munich, Christian Wendler has been a member of the company's Executive Board since April 2013. He succeeds Dr-Ing. Erhard Tellbüscher, who retired on 31 December 2013 after 11 years as CEO and more than 27 years with the company. Lenze employs almost 3,300 people worldwide and is represented in 60 countries by its own sales companies, development sites, production plants, logistics centres, and a network of service partners.
Christian Wendler has a proven track record as an expert in the industry with strong experience of international management. He says:"By working closely with Dr Erhard Tellbüscher over these past months I have got to know Lenze very well. Lenze has a solid foundation on which we will continue to build in order to make the company even stronger. I am looking forward to the tasks ahead. With our innovative products we can open up new perspectives for our customers and help them to build their machines more quickly and more reliably. We offer new ways of adding value, easy engineering, and the highest levels of productivity and reliability. This puts us a long way ahead of our competitors."
