New course: Safety Design Incorporating EN ISO 13849-1/EN 62061
Pilz Automation UK says that this training course is designed to enable delegates to develop a greater understanding of the processes and standards related to safety control system specification, design and validation
The 2 day course takes place at the Pilz UK HQ in Corby, Northants, on February 15th and 16th. The Software Tool Safety Calculator PAScal will be utilised, calculating the Performance Level (EN ISO 13849-1) and Safety Integrity Level (EN 62061) of various safety functions.
Pilz says that the course has been designed to enable delegates to develop a practical understanding of the use of PAScal software to design, evaluate and verify safety functions on machines whilst evaluating the results for cost efficiency.
Delegates may expect to be made aware of the relevant standards related to safety control systems and to understand the necessary process from assessment to validation when designing or modifying safety related control systems. The company also says that it will allow delegates to understand the key architectural structures and alternatives in detailed safety control system design, with practical examples of their application. Sessions will also concentrate on allowing delegates to learn how to calculate the critical parameters related to safety control systems design to achieve the desired Performance Level.
