Fortress Interlocks is introducing the DMSK stainless steel single door key-operated interlock as the latest addition to its DM (Door Module) range of robust modular access interlocks; the DMSK also forms part of the mGard range of door, key exchange and bolt modules. The main feature of the DMSK is that it is specially designed for hygienic areas and is suitable for all types of doors. Its minimal design helps to minimise dirt traps while protecting workers from hazardous areas.
As part of an interlock system, DM locks are used to control access to enclosed areas until a safe condition has been achieved. In a typical operation sequence, the key is inserted into the lock and turned; the actuator is disengaged and the door can then be opened. However, the key remains trapped until the door is closed and the actuator re-engaged. Other sequences are available.
The DM module benefits from an innovative head design that features a choice of four head rotation angles at 90 increments and with two actuator entry points.
As well as the head, all internal contact components, actuators and keys for the DMSK stainless steel single door key-operated interlock are manufactured from stainless steel. Tested to over 1,000,000 operations, the units have tamper-resistant head mechanisms and require minimal maintenance.
