New facility in Wakefield underway for Bosch Rexroth
Bosch Rexroth has officially begun construction of a brand new facility at Trident Park in Wakefield. The state-of-the-art site will bring together three existing Rexroth locations and a Bosch Thermotechnology training centre. This provides the opportunity for future expansion and an increased focus on customer service in the North of England.
The Northern base will consist of a 30,450ft2 workshop, 12,450ft2 of offices and 9,300ft2 of Bosch TT training space to create a facility of 3.6 acres. A further 7,500ft2 has been secured for the future expansion of the workshop area. With construction now fully underway, the facility is expected to be completed by the end of 2012.
Paul Cooke, Managing Director of Bosch Rexroth Ltd in the UK, saiys: "Bosch Rexroth's acquisition of Wakefield-based Hagglunds Drives in 2011 not only strengthened the company's position in a number of markets but provided excellent growth prospects. Breaking ground on what will be a fantastic facility demonstrates that this opportunity is now becoming a reality.
