Audon Electronics is introducing the S7841 four-channel digital event data logger that can record the date and time when any of its inputs changes state. The inputs can be volt-free contacts, such as machine switches, or they can be voltage signals. An LCD display shows the current sate of the logger, and data can be downloaded to a PC via an RS232, USB or Ethernet connection for storage and analysis.
The S7841 is a standalone data recorder with an internal battery that typically lasts four years before replacement is required. Up to 16,254 events can be recorded per input, and spikes of less than 0.5s are ignored to prevent false results.
