Elesa is launching the GN722 series of 180-degree operation spring latches are designed for use in steel fabrications or assemblies where quick and low-cost manual positioning or locking is required. They are specifically designed to function in arduous and dirty environments such as in the production of jigs and fixtures, in clamping devices and assembly installations, for locking, fixing and securing components and parts in dirty or dusty places. This would include production/manufacturing or service situations such as shipbuilding, mining or agriculture.
The Elesa GN722 series is operated by turning the thumb lever 180 degrees to either retract or extend the indexing pin; location of the mechanism is ensured with an indexing notch for each position. Housings are zinc-plated cast steel with a black painted finish and the latches are provided with mounting lugs for the fixing screws. However, the GN722.1 is left in unfinished steel for welding into position as required. Further information regarding Elesa products may be found at www.elesanow.co.uk.
