New HMIs for outdoor applications from Phoenix Contact

Phoenix Contact's HMIs for outdoor applications with the new processor generation and glass-film-glass touch technology provide performance and robustness for demanding applications. Thanks to the C1D2 certification for extreme operating conditions, the user can operate and monitor their system in any environment.

Thanks to optical bonding, the display can be read in direct sunlight, is resistant to UV and IR radiation, and can also be operated when wearing work gloves. The HMIs have an extended temperature range from -20degC to +70degC (or -32degC to +70degC). Thanks to IP67 protection, the operator panel is weatherproof, as well as being resistant to environmental influences, such as salt spray, termites and chemicals.

With the powerful 1GHz processor, the outdoor devices have quick response and display refresh times. The various display sizes, ranging from 4.3" to 12.1", offer flexibility when planning the system. The 1× ETH (10/100) and 2× USB 2.0 interfaces are integrated as standard and the operator panels can be networked in a variety of ways via optional interfaces, such as 1× RS-232, 1× RS-485 and 2× CAN.

The integrated Visu+ visualisation software, as well as Visu+ Express which is available free of charge, enable easy visualisation engineering and, thanks to various drivers, support flexible connection to a range of third-party systems.
