New intelligent safety products from IDEM Safety

IDEM Safety designs and manufactures a vast portfolio of machine safety products that save lives and improve productivity. Its new Z-Range has just been introduced and is described here

IDEM says that its newly launched Z-Range has been designed to achieve a high level of functional safety. Its technology features internal self-monitoring and OSSD Outputs to achieve CAT4/PLe (ISO 13849) and SIL3 (IEC 62061) even when connected in series. Each Z-Range product includes extended diagnostics, presented by the individual device LEDs and auxiliary output signals. This can drastically reduce production downtime by allowing quick identification of individual device states and wiring faults.

IDEM confirms that its ‘Z’ technology has been augmented into many of its mechanical products, for an ‘all in one’ machine guarding solution that doesn’t compromise on safety. The Z-Range is available in:

Non-contact RFID safety switches

Solenoid Locking with RFID Coding

Safety Rope Switches

Emergency Stops

Hinge Door Switches

Non-Locking Tongue Switches

Connection Accessories

For machine builders seeking simple connectivity the new Z-Range connection accessories reduce installation time and speed up any future maintenance. Designers and builders can choose between 8- port junction boxes, T-Port connectors and patch cords to build a bespoke solution.

IDEM Safety points out that it operates throughout the world, providing its customers with “Reliable and cost-effective machine safety solutions”. The company has an experienced team of engineers and ensures that all its products meet the latest international safety standards and are independently tested by TUV and cULus.
