Northampton-based igus has just announced the arrival if its new, freshly developed water-resistant robolink robot, said to be a low-cost automation solution and which is manufactured from a combination of polymers and stainless steel. The new splash-resistant igus IP44 robolink can carry up to three kg over a reach of 790 mm and its five axes can make seven picks a minute.
Thanks to the use of motors with encoders having IP65 protection ,igus says that the new robot is well suited to outdoor use and can also be used in the food and beverage industry or chemical and pharmaceutical sectors for tank and container cleaning operations.
