New lightweight aluminium hinges and hinge profiles
A new addition to the Item range is a series of lightweight aluminium hinges, available in the UK through Machine Building Systems.
The Hinges Al FP0-270 light for Line 6 and Line 8 profiles are designed for use with doors and guards that open through 270 degrees. Doors can be frameless panels or a profile frame with an infill panel. When framed doors are used, the gap between the frame and door is a nominal 0.1mm when the door is closed. An anti-rotation feature on the hinge engages in the groove in the frame profile, thereby preventing the hinge from moving under the weight of the door. Maximum load per hinge is 500N applied at the door mounting hole.
Each hinge is supplied complete with countersunk screws and T-slot nuts.
In addition to the hinges, Item is also introducing Line 6 and Line 8 Hinge Leaf Profiles and Hinge Pins so that customers can manufacture hinges to their own dimensions. The maximum length for these profiles is 3m.
