Southco has launched low-profile captive screws for applications where installation space is limited. The 52 Miniature Captive Screw Low Profile series features a 25 per cent reduction in installation height compared with Southco's standard 52 Miniature series, enabling captive fastening in tighter spaces.
This newest addition to Southco's captive screw family takes up less vertical space, making it useful for applications where reduced installation height is a necessity, such as metal enclosure panels and PC boards. The 52 Low Profile series is available with a metal finish and with an overmoulded head that acts as a visual indicator for access points, enabling the designer to designate access through an array of standard and custom colour options.
The 52 Low Profile series is available with press-in and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) options. Combination tool-operated recesses and hand-tightened knurled head options provide versatility when mounting doors, panels and other hardware components in applications where space is restricted.
