New Northern Event Announced For Machine Builders And Systems Integrators

The Engineering Network (TEN), organiser of last year's extremely successful MachineBuilding.Live, has confirmed a new event to serve machine builders and systems integrators based in the North.

New Northern Event Announced For Machine Builders And Systems Integrators

MachineBuilding.North takes place on Thursday April 10th at the acclaimed Concorde Centre at the Runway Visitor Park adjacent to Manchester airport. The event is being held in a purpose-built display building housing G-BOAC, (one of the most iconic examples of worlds' only supersonic passenger aeroplane), and uses the same unique event format as MachineBuilding.Live.

This new, specialist event will offer an outstanding portfolio of world-class exhibitors comprising more than 100 companies presenting thousands of new and recently introduced products and processes specifically designed and developed for machine builders, systems integrators and OEMs with an eye on automation solutions.

Over 70 exhibitors have already reserved space ahead of this official announcement about the new event, including many market leaders such as LaMonde, Beckhoff Automation, Norgren, SICK, Mechan Controls, British Encoder, SMC Pneumatics, Pilz Automation, HepcoMotion, Telemecanique, Matara, Heidenhain, igus, Phoenix Contact and Gapp as just a few examples.

The one-day event is free to attend and uses a unique format to provide visitors with maximum information in the minimum of time. Visitors can get to the venue easily, park at zero cost right outside the entrance, get in, get round, get all the answers necessary and get back to work in short order.

Further, there is an extensive (and free to attend) Workshop programme featuring thought and technology leaders from a variety of areas which are of especial interest to machine builders and SIs, including leading machine safety and automation experts.

The Organisers have secured exclusive use of the complete Runway Visitor Park facility for the day, and visitors can also experience a free ride in the Concorde Simulator and have a free guided tour of the aircraft during their time on site. Visitors arriving before 11:00 will also be offered a complimentary breakfast roll and brew to start their day with.

A new event website will be launched in the Autumn and the Organisers have produced a video of last years' MachineBuilding.Live event to give visitors a flavour of what to expect in Manchester in April 2025.

TEN managing director Luke Webster observes: "Our research and our database, coupled with the demographics of the audience from MachineBuilding.Live last year, clearly illustrated a need for this event in the North next year, and the large number of stand bookings confirms that suppliers think the same."

His colleague Sidney Hamilton-Williams, Group Sales Manager at TEN, added: "With more than 70 market leaders signed up already this will be one of the biggest engineering events in the North next year, and the only one with such focus on the needs of machine builders and Sis."

TEN publisher Mark Newby, who spent a fair few hours perched in front of fully lit afterburners in a previous career concluded: "Find me an engineer who isn't fascinated by Concorde and I will eat my hat."
