New online shop for wireless, battery-free electrical controls
Wireless, battery-free electrical control switches for industrial , office and domestic applications are the focus for a new online shop set up by Ivory Egg and UK supplier TDC. Ivory Egg already runs a popular webshop covering European Installation Bus components (see below). The new site, concentrating on EnOcean products is at www.enoceanshop.co.uk.
EnOcean electrical switches and controls are winning growing popularity with their fit-anywhere simplicity. The action of operating the switch generates enough current to send a radio signal to a light or other appliance. EnOcean controls can be installed anywhere within a 100m radius of the target unit, moved at a whim, and they never require a change of battery.
The EnOcean range extends from light and dimmer switches to thermostats, hydrostats, light level sensors, and door and window detectors. The non-mechanical devices harvest energy from changes in the ambient pressure and temperature to enable battery-free operation.
