The Baldwin aftermarket range includes new additions to the EnduraPanel series of air filters. Ongoing development is a feature of the range, with two new products being added to the portfolio as part of this announcement.
Construction vehicle fleet owners and operators cannot afford any downtime of their vehicles or equipment due to premature parts failure. Highly efficient air filtration can help protect engines from the dirt and debris found commonly on most construction sites. Even the most efficient air filter cannot do its job if it becomes damaged. Moreover, a compromised filter could cause contamination to pass around and through the media, allowing unfiltered air to reach the engine.
EnduraPanel air filters are built to stand the test of time, providing superior efficiency across the entire service interval, and offering the protection needed to get the job done. The range includes primary and secondary filters. The horizontally pleated media in single and dual-element designs provide the maximum amount of filter media with ample air flow. Baldwin is committed to keeping pace with advanced engine designs, developing new air filtration technology and continuing to deliver high performing air filters. By way of example, two new product families have recently been added to the portfolio.
The new PA31010 and PA31011 primary and secondary EnduraPanel air elements are aimed at Bobcat loaders and telescopic handlers with Doosan or Kubota engines. Also introduced are the PA31004, PA31005, PA31007 primary and secondary EnduraPanel air elements. Here, the secondary EnduraPanel air elements come in two configurations: the PA31005 with foam media for use on models with a mass air flow (MAF) sensor: and the PA31007 with pleated media for models without the sensor. Typical applications include JLG SkyTrak telehandlers with a Cummins QSB engine.
Across the range, air filters can be provided for OEM vehicles and engines that include Agco, Bobcat, Cummins, Hyundai, Vogele and Wirtgen, for applications such as excavators, cold-milling machines, telehandlers, windrowers and skid-steer loaders.
Needless to say, build quality is the key to long-lasting, robust air filters. Here, rigorous head-to-head structural endurance testing shows that the EnduraPanel design is superior to many OE parts. In proprietary tests simulating "˜real-world' vibration, pressure and temperature variations, EnduraPanel outperformed the OE every time. Indeed, the OE design consistently failed less than halfway into the 7,200 cycle structural endurance test. Media distortion, separation and glue-bead cracking were observed, resulting in leak paths that allowed contaminant to pass through and around the filter media. Under the same test conditions, EnduraPanel filters remained intact and undamaged time after time.
