New profiles and elements added to item range

Machine Building Systems reports that numerous profiles and additional functional elements have recently been added to the popular and versatile item range.

New profiles and elements added to item range

For example, if you need a strong, stiff yet lightweight beam, the new Profile 8 240x40 8N180 and Profile 8 160x40 4N180 (240mm and 160mm high, respectively) benefit from a high moment of inertia and can be used in similar load-bearing applications to steel I-beams.

The vertical surfaces are predominantly flat, but there is a groove top and bottom on each face, as well as grooves in the top and bottom faces, so the new profiles can be readily joined to other profiles or elements.

Sometimes you might want a castor and sometimes an adjustable machine foot might be better, but the new Jacking Castors D80 with Foot Pedal combine both in a single product, with the added benefit of a foot pedal for raising and lowering the castor. Furthermore, the antistatic castor is suitable for use in applications where ESD is an issue, such as electronics assembly. Customers can choose from an integrated mounting plate (140x110mm) or an integral M12 screw. Once the load is being supported by the adjustable foot, the castor and pedal can be rotated out of the way.

New ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene panels are extremely versatile thanks to their properties: clean-room-compatibility, light weight, low friction, good stability and impact resistance. They can therefore be used for applications such as cladding, sliding surfaces, bench tops, simple conveyors and many others. Compatible with Line 8 or Line 10 system grooves, the UHMWPE panels are available in thicknesses of 4, 8 and 10mm either cut to size or as complete panels measuring a fraction over 2m x 1m.

However, if an even lighter panel is required, the new Lightweight Board Con-Pearl feature an unbroken surface but an incredibly lightweight sandwich structure that imparts excellent stiffness. Offered in thicknesses of 4.8 or 9.9mm, the panels are also available in antistatic or electrostatically dissipative versions. Maximum sheet size is 2.3x1.6m and the mass per unit area is 1.00kg/m2 for the thinner panels and 3.0kg/m2 for the thicker panels.

Other recently introduced products include additions to the item Work Bench System and the Lean Production Building Kit System.
