New range of hydraulic products for wheel loaders
Improved performance and versatility, greater operator comfort and safety, and increased fuel economy are among the benefits that manufacturers of wheel loaders can now enjoy by using innovative components from the new range that Bosch Rexroth has developed specifically for demanding wheel loader applications.
This extensive range includes pumps and motors, control blocks, brake systems, steering units, gear pumps, valves, and supporting software packages. The resources of Rexroth's dedicated wheel loader application centre, which is staffed by specialist project and commissioning engineers, support all products, and are constantly updating systems to meet new legislation.
Among the highlights of the latest Rexroth wheel loader range are high-efficiency hydrostatic transmission systems with electronic pump control. These need few, if any, switching steps and allow the load distribution between the travel drive and working hydraulics to be readily optimised.
As well as offering high torque even at low engine speeds, and fast response to improve wheel loader manoeuvrability, Rexroth hydrostatic transmission systems also improve fuel economy by allowing the engine to run at near-optimum speed under all conditions. An additional bonus is that a given size of engine delivers up to 5 per cent more useful power than with conventional transmission systems.
Ride control
To complement its wheel loader drives, Rexroth is offering a new ride control valve. While costing less than its predecessors, this is faster and easier to install, and it needs less accumulator capacity. In use, it delivers benefits that include reduced pitching of the loader, improving operator comfort and allowing it to be driven faster without losing material from even a fully loaded bucket.
The incorporation of ride control also enhances safety because it helps to ensure that the wheels have constant contact with the ground, thereby making the braking and steering of the wheel loader more precise and dependable.
Also included in the Rexroth wheel loader range are components for hydraulic power braking systems. Supplied from the machine's existing hydraulic installation, these systems are ready for use immediately the engine is started. They are sensitive and fast to respond, even in heavy machines, and can optionally be configured to provide an integrated inching facility.
