norelem has just introduced a new range of plain bearings for rotary stages, one which is of all-alumimium construction and the other a hybrid
Two different versions of the new plain bearings for rotary stages are available from norelem, designed to offer machine builders simple assembly and high wear-resistantance in rotating machinery. The first version is aluminium, (including both the inner and outer rings), and between the rings is a high-performance plastic plate providing a glide function, thus enabling lubricated and maintenance-free running.
The second version of the bearing is constructed of an outer ring in aluminium and an inner ring of the same high-performance plastic as the other version. The aluminium parts of the bearings are anodised to help make both bearings more durable and corrosion resistant. Both versions are available in three different diameters. “With this new range of plain bearings, our customers can choose bearings that are best suited for the application depending on the material. They can also be assured these parts will be maintenance free once installed, saving time and money in the long run.” said Marcus Schneck, CEO of norelem.
Both versions of the new bearings can be used in a temperature range of -50°C to 90°C, offering a useful advantage to machine builders designing for wide temperature variations. Additionally, the materials that make up the bearings ensure the presence of reduced elasticity in them, providing greater accuracy and making them more resistant to permanent deformation. As a result, says norelem, they offer high wear-resistance.
The range of plain bearings is available to order directly from THE BIG GREEN BOOK, norelem’s internationally recognised catalogue of over 60,000 standard components.
