New source for cost-effective chokes

Live Electronics is now supplying common mode (MC) and differential mode (MD) chokes from DICEP EMC, which are described as cost-effective, compact and suitable for AC and DC applications up to line voltage and frequency.

New source for cost-effective chokes

Both products benefit from nominal current ratings from 0.5-8A and a PCB footprint of 25.4 x 10.26mm; they are available in low quantities if required. With an encapsulated option available, the standard open-frame units boast an operating temperature range of -25 to +100degC, are rated to 250V AC and DC line frequency to 440Hz. Used in power supplies, in particular in railway signalling and communications equipment, both the MC and MD chokes are suitable for applications where it is necessary to reduce electrical noise in a circuit.

Claire Childs, Live Electronics' MD, comments: "Since our launch in August 2007, Live Electronics has promised to introduce leading quality products to our range, enabling our customer base to enjoy a freedom of choice in component selection. The additions from DICEP EMC - a French company manufacturing a wide range of standard and bespoke PCB-mounted chokes and filters - confirm this approach. Further releases soon!"
