Pilz is launching stainless steel non-contact magnetic safety switches as the latest addition to its PSENmag range. The new switches reliably monitor safety gates and positions in harsh industrial environments at temperatures of up to 120degC and instil confidence with their long service life. The robust stainless steel housing withstands extreme temperatures, impacts and vibration.
Furthermore, the stainless steel housing helps to prevent the formation of deposits and resists aggressive cleaning methods such as sterilising with hot steam. The robust switch is sealed to IP67/IP69K and can therefore be used in areas with high contamination and high cleaning requirements; consequently it is an excellent choice for the food industry, pharmaceutical production and the cosmetics industry.
The stainless steel PSENmag switch is available with cable or plug-in connections for fast, flexible installation. For applications where extreme temperatures are encountered, the cable version is resistant to heat and cold for temperature ranges of -25 to +80degC. The plug-in version can be used at temperatures up to 120C. Thanks to the resistant housing, the stainless steel PSENmag switch reliably monitors even in explosive environments. The magnetic safety switch is vibration- and shock-resistant and has a high B10D value (guideline for the service life). Thanks to its compact dimensions, it saves space and is easy to install.
With additional signal contacts and an integral LED, the PSENmag switches provide for user-friendly diagnostics and rapid fault rectification. Used in combination with compact PNOZmulti configurable safety controllers or PNOZsigma safety relays, the stainless steel PSENmag non-contact safety switches are a reliable, convenient and economical way to monitor the position of machine guards, gates and other items in harsh environments.
