New tiltmeters/clinometers have 4-20mA outputs

Inertial Aerosystems is launching a new range of high-quality tiltmeters/clinometers with 4-20mA outputs. 4-20mA is generally accepted as a factory standard, and the new family of tiltmeters/clinometers consists of four models ranging from a slimline board to a deep water model that is enclosed in a solid stainless steel case.

All models have two-wire current loop circuits that can operate with long cables and no signal loss. 4-20mA systems offer immunity to noise that sometimes affects voltage measurements. All products incorporate a 2500 Ohm thermistor that can be used for temperature measurement.

At the top of the range, the Tuff Tilt 420 delivers repeatability of 0.0002 degrees in an IP65 enclosure and Inertial Aerospace says this is considered to be the best performer in its class. The slimline board, available in horizontal or vertical formats, is suitable for mounting in tubes.

This versatile range has many applications in machine and turbine monitoring, engineering, manufacturing, processing, underwater movement, level measurement and the movement of building and soil structures.
