|If you build machines for
the European market then you need to know about the
updated official guidance on the Machinery Directive.
The amendments are mainly clarifications and
corrections, but the new Edition 2.2 has two annexes
that are likely to prove very helpful. Find out more
about the revised guidance here.
Staying on the subject of clarifications and
corrections, earlier this year you may have seen that EN
ISO 12100:2010 was to be withdrawn. More than seven
months after this information was erroneously published
in the Official Journal, the European Commission has now
confirmed via the OJ that EN ISO 12100:2010 is not going
to be withdrawn. There is more about that and the
current list of Machinery Directive Harmonised Standards
Finally, please note that January's newsletter will be
published one week later than usual to avoid a clash
with New Year's Day.
