NORD DRIVESYSTEMS at LogiMAT 2018
From 13 to 15 March 2018, LogiMAT - the largest annual logistics trade fair in Europe - will take place in Stuttgart. The slogan for the 16th international trade fair for intralogistics solutions and process management is: "Digital - connected - innovativ". In line with this, NORD DRIVESYSTEMS will present intelligent, versatile and efficient drive systems for intralogistics and conveyor technology at stand C17, Hall 3.
The new NORDAC LINK field distribution system is specially tailored to the demands of conveyor technology. This drive control for flexible installation close to the motor is available as frequency inverter (up to 7.5kW) or motor starter (up to 3kW) and provides what it takes to make fast commissioning, simple operation and maintenance possible. Among other things, this is achieved by high plug-in capability. All modules and components are connected via easy-to-handle plug connectors. Thanks to an integrated PLC and compatibility with all common bus systems, NORDAC LINK can be easily integrated into all modern systems and is freely configurable - meeting all requirements of every application.
Operation of conveyor systems is characterised by frequent partial loads. This is where IE4 synchronous motors reveal their full energy-saving potential. They achieve high cost reductions over their entire service life and an early break-even point with just a small additional investment. Therefore, the energy-efficient IE4 synchronous motors are particularly well suited for reducing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of conveyor systems.
Reducing the number of versions can also significantly help with reducing overall operating costs. Different gear units and motor types, sizes, options and gear ratios often result in a large variety of drive versions - a considerable cost factor. Selected combinations of a highly efficient two-stage bevel gear unit, an IE4 synchronous motor, power plug connectors and a ready-made cable enable significantly reduced spare part stocks. Thanks to plug-and-play technology, these products are service-friendly and impress with their compact design. In addition, due to their lightweight aluminium housing, they weigh approximately 25 per cent less than conventional systems. LogiDrive - the matched drive system for intralogistics and airport applications - is a standardised geared motor version consisting of a two-stage NORDBLOC.1 bevel gear unit, an energy-efficient IE4 synchronous motor and the NORDAC LINK SK 250E frequency inverter.
