NSK at EMO MILANO 2015
NSK will feature many innovative products at EMO Milano 2015 (5-10 October), each offering specific advantages to forward-thinking builders of machine tools, automation systems and materials handling equipment. Visitors to stand B08 C07 (hall 9) will see for themselves why generations of machine tool designers have relied on NSK technologies to ensure precise motion and control. Taking centre stage on the almost 100 m ² stand will be a number of products making their exhibition debut, including ball screws, ball screw support bearings, angular contact ball bearings, cylindrical roller bearings, linear guides and seals.
For example, the DS precision-ground ball screw series (DIN dimensions) is designed purposely to offer higher speeds and enhanced running accuracy with lower operating noise. In total, nine sizes are offered in eight different lengths, leading to 33 combinations available from stock.
Complementary new products on show at EMO Milano 2015 will include the NSKHPS BSBD and NSKHPS TAC-C precision ball screw support bearings. Both types, which ensure workpieces or machine components are positioned accurately in a quick and efficient manner, have been developed to deliver higher basic dynamic load rating and longer bearing life.
For designers seeking bearings able to accommodate both radial and axial loads simultaneously, NSK will showcase its new Robust E ultra-high speed angular contact series of ball bearings for improved operating life and grease life. The Robust E series is suitable for the main shafts in CNC turning centres and machining centres, which need to revolve at high speeds without compromising precision.
Engineers looking for a more compact option will be interested to learn about the new Robust BSR, a smaller series of ultra-high speed angular contact bearings that add sealing performance to a long list of attributes.
NSK has also focused its development efforts on cylindrical bearing products, and will consequently present EMO visitors with the CRB APTSurf series of single- and double-row precision cylindrical roller bearings. Created to reduce vibration, enhance running accuracy and extend life, the CRB APTSurf range is certain to prove a popular approach for machine tools expected to perform in demanding applications.
From a linear guide perspective, EMO visitors are advised investigate the new NH/NS series, which offers a very high level of load rating and more than twice the life of conventional linear guides. To achieve this, NSK has developed a new shape for the ball groove (linear guides support load through the mechanism of contact between balls and ball grooves) to optimise the contact surface pressure distribution.
Last but not least, the NSK stand at EMO Milano 2015 will provide visitors with the opportunity to view new supporting products able to enhance the performance of machine tools and associated technologies. These will include: RACEGRD grease for high loads and high heat-seizure resistance; and X1 high performance seals for enhanced grease retention in ball screw and linear guide applications.
