NSK Europe launches new website

At first glance the homepage of NSK Europe's website offers important service and product information. A visual concept in combination with a well-arranged menu provides a foundation for easy navigation throughout the site; with a few clicks, users are in category groups Product, Experience, Innovation, Service, Careers and Company.

NSK is introducing an interactive product finder as a way to search for product information. The product finder is not only user-friendly, it also offers target-group-specific results. The first search criteria include five main product categories: automotive, ball bearings, roller bearings, bearing units and precision components. Within this category, there are 77 further detailed product groups; for example, deep-groove ball bearing or ball screws. Additional ways to search the product finder include by sector and operating conditions. Users will find 34 sectors, such as automobile or food and beverage, and 15 different operating conditions, such as vibration, load, or contamination. If users are interested in NSK's innovative products, they can select to view only these products. And finally, all of these search criteria can be used in combination. The result is that users will see only the products that are appropriate for their requirements. Once users have found a product, more product information is provided by means of a single mouse click.

"Experience' enables visitors to download sector-specific case studies demonstrating best practice and examples of problem solving in action. To help visitors to their fields of interest, NSK has created five fields of experience: automotive; primary industries; processing industries; process machinery; and consumer goods. Within these groups, visitors are able to quickly and simply find targeted application and condition-specific examples, together with indications of the resultant cost savings.

Under the "Literature Download' section users can find a wealth of information in PDF format. Current Terms and Conditions, business and financial information, and product and sector-related catalogues are all available to download.

Visitors looking for an Authorised NSK Distributor will find the interactive distributor search particularly useful. After entering country, post code and, where desired, product type, an interactive map opens to clearly show the nearest branch of an Authorised Distributor. A further click reveals the Distributor's address and all other relevant contact details.

Further new sections in the website include "Career' and "Press Area'. Aspiring job candidates will find, alongside HR and Personal Development policies, all available Europe-wide vacancies. A search function can lead visitors to the right opportunity. A mouse-click sends the on-line application form to NSK's appropriate local HR department.

In the "Press Area' media representatives will find the latest news and articles on NSK in the menu, under "Company'. The private "Press Lounge' has been created specially for members of the press provided with a login, and offers additional and extensive background information, including text downloads.

There is a short selection of the web services on offer at www.nskeurope.com for interested customers and stakeholders.

NSK plans to extend the reach of the new website by creating eight further language versions in early 2009. Under the local domain www.nskeurope.de, for example, German-speaking users will be able to visit the website for information and downloads in German. Similarly, language versions for France, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden, Spain and Turkey will be launched.
